The President of Oklahoma University has made it his primary concern to make certain that retention rates at the school increase and that more students who start their educational career at Oklahoma University actually graduate from the school. The President announced:
“the graduation rate of our students should be a source of pride and one of our highest priorities as faculty and staff. As President, I feel strongly that it is our collective responsibility to ensure that our students graduate. To this end, I established a task force of faculty, staff and students to pursue the overall goal of achieving a 60% graduation rate for each incoming freshmen class at the University. We will strive to achieve this goal by 2008.
This Web site features information and other items of interest in this University-wide effort. The Web site serves both to inform the university community of efforts in this area and to provide a mechanism for any member of our community to forward thoughts and ideas as to how to improve our graduation rate. I invite you to share your comments and suggestions.
