South Arkansas Community College - Those who live in Arkansas are probably familiar with the south arkansas community college and everything that it will offer them. For many years, this great college has continued to educate students and help graduates step off into the real world in search of an exciting and well paying career.
The college was established on March 31, 1992 by a vote of the citizens in Union County. The voters approved the forming of a community college district for the county, merging oil belt technical college and the southern college; thereby levying a millage to support the new school.
The south arkansas community college is officially governed by a nine board member of trustees that were initially appointed by Governor Bill Clinton. On April 14 of 1992; the board of trustees appointed a new president, and named the new college. Over the years, the college has proved to live up to the standards set by these fine leaders.
The college has a lot of curriculum for students, and also appeals to everyone from virtually all walks of life. The handicapped and also veterans are welcomed here; with the college accepting everyone regardless of color or disability. If you have the will to learn; this fine college will help you in any way possible.
