Here I am panning away at Nanango's Seven Mile Diggings, South East Queensland.

Gold can be found in some very unusual places and I have noticed that gold prospectors are a very inventive bunch. In Australia there is a vast range of conditions in which gold can be found, including dry river beds, deserts, flowing creeks and major rivers. Gold prospector's rise to the challenge by utilising different methods of extracting the gold from its hiding place.
