I found your gps stash today. I have been waiting for some time for someone to place a stash somewhere near Melbourne and was quite pleased when yours came up. As this was my first attempt at finding one I wasn't too sure how close the gps would get me and spent some time looking too far away from where the gps indicated. I should have had more faith in the unit. The fix I got was directly between the stash and the road and about 2 metres from the road so I was only about 4 metres from the stash. Walked past it several times before I noticed the bits of bark which were obviously covering something.

I went to visit your stash yesterday. Pretty good location: Looking forward to your next stash(es), and I plan to do one myself in the near future. This was a "blind" geohunt: didn't know where Murchisen Gap was, couldn't be bothered with maps, just entered the co-ordinates, took off, and followed the arrow! Bit slower to get there, but really adds to the experience.

Thank you for hiding the cache. The view was just amazing! :) I will soon publish some pictures that we took from the stash.

Myself, Wife and eldest Daughter found the cache in the afternoon. A beautiful day, easy trip, great location with a fantastic view. Took a little bit of time to find the cache. My E-trex positioned us dead centre in the middle of the road and we knew it was down one side or another. Eventually found it 10 metres away. Left a key ring and my daughter took a cap.

At 12.30 on a wet, cold 11/06/2001, this cache was found by Bob, Dale & Matthew before we partook of the fare at the Glenburn pub on the way to find the Mt Despair loot... (Found the site but too cold, wet and late to set off on foot through impenetrable jungle). Took the fishing flies nad left a compas/map measurer. Bucket wet again...dried once again ... Thank you George and others...

Out with a group of friends 4WD'ing and decided to track this one down. I was driving a friend/fellow cacher(Tonymid) vehicle and my son was passanger in another vehicle with my GPS. As Tonymid had already found it my son and i took off in a sprint, he with my GPS and i with Tonymid GPS and it was another race for the first to find. As i battled with going around in circles Daniel followed the GPS right to the site. Too slow again. He swapped the Compass/map measure thingy and left behind a set of screwdrivers. We too found the bucket to be a little wet so we emptied out the contents and dried the bucket before returning it in the hole leaving it a little higher out of the groung than we found it. Absolutly fantastic views highly recommend this one for the fantastic views. Thanks for the challange. The Brierley's :-)

I paid homage at the first geocache in Victoria today, on a most successful trip, finding 2 caches and a degree confluence! Pretty easy to find, after I drove right past it and turned around. Absolutely freezing cold up there on the ridge and blowing a gale, but it didn't rain while I was there. Awesome views across the northern hills of the dividing range. The cache was out of notepaper for the log, so I left some more, but apart from that didn't take or leave anything. I notice someone put the screwdriver set in the cache, which I originally left somewhere else!! Amazing where these things turn up :)

Date: Friday, 30 November 2001

Arrived at the location just after sunset, thank you to who ever organised the 4 Kangaroos to help guide us. Actually went right passed as I was to busy looking out for the one that was about to cross the road right at the cache location. Turned around and went back. GPS put me just on the side of the road. Had a look around, walked down the hill and found it at the base of the second tree I put the torch on. There was some water in the container, so emptied that out and left a personal red flashing light and took the screw driver set. Our 2nd for the day.

Another pilgrim to the start of Geocaching in Victoria.
An easy find with spectacular views.
Out on an afternoon drive after placing Flying High cache.
There is still some moisture in the cache which we tried to dry out
Left a CD of MP3's and took a personal flashing light

Finally, 7 months after noting down the wrong coordinates first time (I noted the turnoff as the cache - doh!)
This time I noted *all* the coordinates and we went back on our way up the Hume. Great views! and a nice and easy cache to find (given the correct info!)
But, despite me being the holder of the GPS, it was my girlfriend who found the cache itself - she's running at 2 from 2 (also found the Project APE cache earlier this year)

We took the MP3 CD and replaced it with a blank CD.

Found by Team GeoCoopers. Nice valley views. We'd run out of things to swap so took nothing, and left nothing.

VISIT 13 BY:  Woodiebro

Date: Sunday, 06 January 2002

I found this cache today, This was my first one and took a bit to discover as I have only had a GPS for 1 week, but now I know how it all works there will be no stopping me. I lost my glasses while looking for this cache and looked for them for about 2 hours but just could'nt locate them in the long grass, so if anybody finds them!
I filled out the log, took nothing, and left a
redgum finger spinning top and a redgum honey dipper, I'm a woodturner when I'm not doing other things,
Terry

As we have already done N.S.W. and A.C.T.s first cache we thought we should do Victoria’s 1st as well. The cache site has excellent views and while filling out the log a Peregrine Falcon flew over head so once we finished with the cache we watched the falcon for a while before heading off. The cache had a small amount of water in it so we dried it out before sealing again.

VISIT 20 BY:  Maccamob

Date: Monday, 17 June 2002

Found by Mary & David in the dark at 1800 on our way home from a holiday up north, and having just come from Flying High. We'll have to return in daylight to see the views! Found by torchlight reasonably quickly, and completed the log back at the car. A small amount of water in the container was emptied, but the contents seemed OK. Took the SES Rat for some R & R, and left a luggage label. Thanks to George.

VISIT 21 BY:  Maccamob

Date: Saturday, 03 August 2002

Found 15:00 nice and easy great views, make this a very worth while cache. The cache seems to have taken in a little water, we dried it as best as possible, no real damage done. The log book is getting a little full so probably time for a new one.

Took water pistol (already loaded ) and left speed pourer.
