The lift says it all!

Hallway in Ritz-Carlton hotel. I felt a tad conspicuous wandering through here in my tatty old shorts and thongs.

Just after I'd taken this photo, the Sheik of Qattar and Malaysian Prime minister came past with their official entourage and sat down right here for official photos. The Sheik was on a State visit to KL---there was a big spread in the morning paper.

As luck would have it, my camera ran out of batteries after this photo, so I couldn't help him out with some nice photos for him to take home.

You can see the refreshments in the far corner--I thought they were for me.

Maybe I'll stay here next time.
