Landlord Tenant Credit Report - Your credit report consists of everything that you’ve done that could possibly affect your credit. Your rent payments are a part of that. As a result, whether or not you’ve been able to make your rent payments on time is a major part of your credit report and can have an affect on whether or not you’re able to get loans and mortgages in the future. In fact, landlord – tenant credit reports are a major part of any consideration when it comes to whether or not you’ll be able to get a mortgage.
This is due to the fact that a landlord – tenant credit report takes into account only payments that are pertinent to the property you own, to your house, and to your rent. If you’re unable to make your rent payments on time, then that makes it look less likely that you’ll be able to pay off your first or second mortgage as planned. Therefore, you should always be careful to pay your bills (especially your rent) on time.
You should also make sure that you check your landlord –tenant credit report regularly. After all, it’s always possible that a mistake could be made, and the fact that you paid your bill isn’t properly recorded. Since records of unpaid bills and rent can add up and make it almost impossible for you to get a loan or mortgage in the future, you should keep your eyes open for mistakes like that, and get them fixed right away. The sooner you catch these mistakes, the easier it is to fix them.
One advantage to this landlord – tenant credit report is that it’s relatively easy for you to bring your credit rating back up. After all, all you’ll have to do is make sure that you pay your rent on time, and if you want to keep living where you are now, you need to do that anyway. Therefore, make sure that you pay your rent on time, and then you will not have any trouble with your credit rating (unless, of course, you’re getting too far in other types of debt, like credit card debt).
