Moody Aa Bond Rate - Moody AA bond rate follows the interest rate rather than the stock market. So if Interest rates are at an all time high than having some savings bonds really make their presence known financially. On the other hand, if the interest rates are at an all record low than the amount you might get would be small indeed.
Bearing this in mind, by buying bonds when the interest rate is low is a good thing, like the stock market, you buy low sell high and that is exactly what you want to do here. When the interest rates go and they will, you will be in a better financial position than when you did not have these bonds.
If you need more information about these or any other type of bond, try talking to a broker, or try finding some research material on the internet, or try the library, or do all three, as you can never be too informed, only under informed. And, while you are researching, make sure to get questions on the different types of bonds answered as there are more than I could here, and ask the advice of a broker if you plan on expanding your portfolio with some bonds.
Well, you have invested in some bonds and you are taking the advice of a good broker, you look to have everything under control, just remember that a bond in your portfolio during a time of high interest rates will produce more than a bond during a time of low interest rate.
Also keep in mind that if you possess enough large denomination bonds, you can retire with those bonds as a supplementary income combined with social security and any other retirement plan you are a part of will have you living the high life for the rest of your days. So keep investing and keep building up your wealth, because if you don’t who will?
