Puget Sound And Future Attraction - Puget Sound and future attraction, what kind of attractions could they have, what was the original business that they did? What they originally did, and still do is fishing, though now they have begun to expand into tourism thanks in large part to the beautiful scenery and the whale migrations.
When people began to go to places that whales liked to congregate tourist wanted to boat out and see the whales up close and a new tourist industry was born. With the decline of certain fish and shellfish stocks captains have been looking for a way to stay afloat in a harsh economy.
While fishing is still big business, tourist oriented excursions like whale watching are starting to bring in a lot of tourist dollars. In fact enough tourist visits have sparked a hotel and restaurant boom along Puget Sound, all of which will cater to the tourists while they wait for their whale watching excursion to begin.
Indeed some of the fishing captains have started whale watching businesses to make ends meet with fish stocks so low, this does not mean they stopped completely just for the tourist season. Now of course there are tourist coming in for different seasons and it seems to never let up, but the people living on the Puget Sound aren’t complaining, indeed they are laughing all the way to the bank.
It looks like other business minded people will soon be getting a start on Puget Sound; people like realtors, financiers, and new banks will soon be making the Puget Sound their new home. With the tourism boom, many businesses and people who at one time might have left for financial reasons will be able to stay and reap the rewards of beginning in an area of great tourism potential.
