Over The Counter Stock Market Quotations - Over the counter stock market quotations, what are they and how do they help me? Well, the term over the counter means that it is not an official stock quote, more like an opinion so never invest because that over the counter quote said that this tock was a good deal.
Now, while these are not official stock quotes they can still be helpful to the investor as they can draw your attention to them and see if the over the counter quote is accurate and tempting enough to invest in. If they are not then you have lost nothing except for a few minutes of your time.
With a lot of things in this world you should always take what an over the counter stock says with a grain of salt. This does not mean they are completely wrong it s just that they are an opinion, not an official quote from the stock market. Just double check the information in the over the counter quote with the one posted by the stock market and compare them, it might be dead on, or a complete miss, just find out before you act on it.
With that said an over the counter quote can, as stated earlier, draw your attention to a particular stock, in which case you should compare the two and see if it is worth investing in or not. The over the counter quote can be used as a stock market barometer, not a thermometer. You will only get a sense of what the market is doing, not instant knowledge of what the market will do. Just use the over the counter quote like you would a tip from your coworker, a piece of advice to help determine what stock you should look at to see if it is worth investing in.
