Technology Transfer And Economy - Technology transfer and economy, the idea of technology transfer is one of selling technology in one form or another abroad.
What this means is that technology transfer can give developed nations an increase in revenue, while underdeveloped nations get technology to increase their own production, and help to stimulate their economy for future growth. The idea of technology transfer strictly speaking is very old, but it has new applications in today’s new economy.
It is a simple idea that has been occurring since man created things and then traded to another less technologically advanced man for an item that was desired. But today, with computers and software being the technology, as well as pharmaceuticals and other new scientific breakthroughs that could help a third world country to become a more developed nation, and a more stable economy for the global economy.
Why is this idea getting attention now, why not twenty or thirty years ago? Well, because the technology of today is quite advanced and new advancement is made everyday in the United States, not everyone can keep up their own R&d at such a pace, which is a major advancement every week, with improvements occurring everyday.
This is in keeping with the adage of buying a computer today, and by the time you get it home it is obsolete, with such advancement technology is bound to occur if only to make a quick profit. Even if profit is the main motivator, it seems to work out for us as we as a species continue to make technological advancements, some are left behind and a transfer of technology occurs, helping the economies of both parties, one in the short term, and the other in the long term, both benefit.
