Debt Free - All people hope they will remain debt free however; most people at one time or another will find they have way too much debt and are unable to keep up. Many times it is not our fault that we are unable to pay our bills. Losing job would definitely be a cause of getting into debt. Sometimes an extended illness of a family member or us can cause many medical bills as well as loss of pay.
Many people that have found they are in debt may become too ashamed to ask friends and family for help. And because of the shame the bills may continue to pile up which can then start with harassing phone calls from collectors. This also adds more stress to the already stressful situation. To be debt free we must first realize that there is no shame in needing help. And talk with people to find out who is dependable to work with us in getting our financial situation back on track and become debt free.
Debt free living is what we all strive for and deserve, however debt can be so overwhelming that in can virtually paralyze a person from taking action. A person may be surprised to find out that many other people they know have been in similar circumstances and these people are the very ones who can help with recommendation on who to call for assistance so that they too will find they can be debt free living.
Many times people that have found him or her in debt do not understand or even realize that there is really another way. It does take some important and sometimes drastic actions to find you with debt free living.
There are many ways to becoming debt free first you must learn to handle your debt. You will need to work with your creditors, bill collectors and the like. By beginning with these you will be taking one big step in a positive direction towards becoming debt free.

A possible place to check for agencies and organizations that deal with debt situations, especially focusing on non-profit organizations that are not out to make a profit off you would be to check the yellow pages or possibly the internet sites.
