Credit reporting agencies

Credit Reporting Agencies - There are 3 credit-reporting agencies that keep up well with consumer’s reports and have easy access to view your credit reports. Credit reporting agencies will maintain a record of your credit history and can make it easier and faster for you to get the credit you need in the future. Anyone with your approval can access your credit from a credit-reporting agency such as banks, car dealers, and phone companies. The decisions made from the credit reporting agencies will determine if you will get the loan and if you do it can determine how much you will be required to pay in interest and possibly deposits.

By contacting the credit reporting agencies and requesting a credit report a consumer can then look at the reports and determine if anything is on it that is incorrect such as accounts that have been paid in full but are still showing a balance or accounts that do not even belong to you. You can contact the credit reporting agencies with any proof that you have that the reports are incorrect and the credit reporting agencies will then clear the incorrect entries. Consumers should request copies of the reports from the credit reporting agencies at least once a year to be sure that everything is accurate and up to date.

To obtain your credit report from one of the credit reporting agencies you can go to a local office and these can be found in the yellow pages. Or if you have been turned down for credit you can call the credit reporting agencies that were used by the company you applied for credit with and request a free copy of your report to find out why you were turned down. You will have to give the date that you were turned down for credit to receive the report at no cost.

The credit reporting agencies can be of great asset to you when making a purchase since most company rely on the credit reporting agencies report to make a decision, having a good payment history on your reports will help you in getting a loan quicker and easier with less hassles and much better interest rate. So get a copy of your credit history from a credit-reporting agency today and see how you rate.
