National Finance Center - The National Finance centers mission is to design, develop, implement, and operate cost effective financial, administrative, and management information systems and services supporting the missions of the United States Department of Agriculture and its customers. To achieve its mission, the national finance center provides centralized, automated, integrated systems and support services for payroll, personnel, administrative payments, accounts receivable, property management, budget, and accounting activities.
The national finance center primarily provides consolidated payroll, personnel, and voucher and invoice payment systems and services to numerous Government agencies. The national finance center also provides systems and support services for several Government wide processes, including the Federal Retirement Thrift Savings Plan.
With today’s changing environment and Government streamlining initiatives, the national finance center plays a vital role in helping its customers meet their objectives and accomplish their plans. The national finance center systems are specifically designed to readily accommodate requirements necessary to satisfy unique customer needs in effect and to provide a government that works better and cost less. The national finance center hopes to accomplish this goal by workig in close contact with the government and individuals to define strategies for cutting costs and improving efficiency.

As a result, the national finance center has become one of the largest franchising providers of administrative and financial services in the Federal Government.
