Welcome to All Trainers If you are reading this, you obviously found the "door"! The pages of the Club website accessible via this page are especially for the Club Trainers (PC & XP Fundamentals and all Optional Courses) and will be used to keep you up to date with changes, improvements and aids specifically relating to Training. This first page contains general News items of interest to ALL Trainers but you will find links below to courses that have their own specific page. There are also links to other resources like the Trainers Mailouts. |

| Trainer's Meeting |
Generally there will be a Trainer's Meeting after
each Monthly Meeting on the second Wednesday of each month. This
Trainer's Meeting is intended for ALL
Trainers and, if possible, ALL Course Coordinators whether they are involved
in PC & XP Fundamentals or one of the many Optional
Courses. A number of training topics will be discussed at each of these meetings but if you would like to have a specific topic discussed please send an email to Peter Fowler by clicking this link pf-pcs@bigpond.net.au. |

| Course Roster | The current Course Roster is available by clicking on the link below. The file is in .pdf format so you need Adobe PDF Reader loaded on your PC to be able to view the file. The roster is updated frequently, therefore please check with Jill Matthews before making any course scheduling decisions based on this issue of the roster. The roster issue date is shown at the end of the link. | ||||||||||||||||||

Student Course List |
The Student Course List available at the link below is intended for Course Coordinators to look up member's financial status and the courses that they have already completed. The file is an Excel spreadsheet so you must have Microsoft Excel on your PC to open the file. The date of the spreadsheet is highlighted in yellow in the top left hand corner. | ||||||||||||||||||
| Equipment Status |
The current status of all computer equipment at
the Club is shown at the link below. This page will be updated frequently
for the information of all course Presenters and Trainers who need to know
which PC positions are currently unavailable or have equipment that may not
be fully functioning in some particular way.
Please note that the above page refers to PC Computer "positions" (Pos). These are the fixed position numbers for each PC even though the actual PC hardware may change from time to time for rebuilding or reloading. If you don't know the PC Computer position number use the Club layout diagram at the link below. If you need further information please contact Lionel Smith or Ken Caldwell or Peter Fowler. |

| XP Assessment Test |
All Trainers are welcome to test themselves on
the XP Assessment Test (Version 1.5) which is given to new Club Members who
are seeking to bypass Fundamentals Training before enrolling in Optional
Courses. This Assessment Test consists of 50 multiple choice questions and
then a short Files & Folders exercise. The XP Assessment Test (Version 1.5)
is available at the link below. XP Assessment Test (Version 1.5) Click on the link above, choose "Save" and download the .zip file to your Desktop. Double clicking the downloaded .zip file and clicking on "Extract all files" in the Folder Tasks, then Next, then Next and then Finish will create a new folder on your Desktop called "XP Assessment Test". Inside this folder will be a folder called "Assessment Test". Place this folder (and its contents) in your "My Documents" folder. Open the Assessment Test by opening the file "Test.xls" within the Assessment Test folder. You must have MS Excel installed on your computer to open the "Test.xls" file. |

| Course Coordinator's Guidelines | To encourage consistency in the way Courses are managed, the Club has put together a set of Course Coordinator' Guidelines. The document is in .pdf format so you will need Adobe PDF Reader loaded on your PC to be able to view the file. | ||||||||||||||||||
| Course Manuals | As you can imagine, a huge amount of work goes into writing new course manuals. Once the first draft of a new course manual has been completed to the author's satisfaction it is presented to the Training Sub-Committee for review prior to its use. Normally two members of the Training Sub-Committee will review the manual in accordance with the guidelines as set out in the Manual Reviewer's Guideline. This document is available in .pdf format via the link below for both reviewers and Trainers who are interested. | ||||||||||||||||||
