Headphones & Headsets Headphones are becoming a common accessory for computer users. If you are looking to buy some, don't just get headphones without an in built microphone. This combination is often called a headset. You will need the microphone if you start using VoIP services like Skype.

You can pay anywhere between $15 and $80+ for a computer headphones or headsets but it really not necessary to spend a lot. Below are three typical headsets that you can pick up for under $20. As the price would indicate, the Verbatim 41802 is probably the best.

Professor Teaches Vista from Individual Software

The Club is using Professor Teaches Vista from Individual Software as part of the Vista Fundamentals Training. The Australian Distributor is Communique (http://comm-unique.com.au/).

The software is available from a number of retail outlets including Harvey Norman for the RRP of $49.00.

If you do buy this software and want to load the same version that is used at Computer Pals you must load Vista Home Premium (from the green disk).

Computer Speakers

If you would like to listen to music from your PC but don't have very good loud speakers (or none at all) you could have a look at the Logitech X230. These speakers give reasonable sound quality for serious listening and yet can be picked up for about $70. As pictured, they have "left" and "right" channel desktop units that go either side of your monitor and a combined amplifier and base unit that goes under your desk. They have standard computer connections and are 240V mains powered. Available from many retail outlets as well as Harris Technology and DCA Computers
