Victoria East GippslandUntil we bought the caravan we mostly rowed at Lake Tyers, but also did a couple of day tours to nearby inlets and rivers: North Arm Lakes Entrance, Nicholson and Tambo River After we bought the carvan we wanted to start with a small trip to try out all our equipment, so we decided to go to Bemm River for a long weekend in December 2008: Bemm River Our first longer carvaning/boating holiday took us in March 2009 to Mallacoota, where we stayed for 2 weeks.We plan to row the Mitchell River (Bairnsdale, Silt Jetties Eagle Point) and the Snowy River (Orbost, Marlo) maybe this but definitely next year. And also would like to row from Lakes Entrance to Metung or Paynesville and maybe make this a trip with tent and sleeping bag. |
