Java Virtual Machine (JVM)

Microsoft has released Windows XP Service Pack 1a, which is missing the MS JVM, though it was distributed in the older Windows XP Service Pack 1. In short, Microsoft will not support the MS JVM from January 2004 and is commencing to deploy the Sun Microsystems JVM.

There were five links here to the MS Java engine. One was removed a few weeks back because it went dead. The links were checked on 20 May and all four of the remaining links are now dead. Only the new link provided by S. Heenan from news:alt.os.windows-xp remains. The MS JVM will not be available for much longer, and thanks to S. Heenan for the new link.
