Heyland Family

 

  1. John Heyland, born Abt. 1825 in County Westmeath in Ireland, married "unknown" in Ireland Abt. 1846. On early church baptism record no. 151/217 John had  1 male living and 2 females deceased by his previous marriage.

        i)      John Henry Heyland, born in Abt. 1851 in County Fermanagh, Ireland.
        ii)     Female, born and deceased in Ireland.

    John Heyland married (2) Rose Ann 'Bridget' Cox, daughter vof John & Bridget Cox, in Ireland in 1856. Bridget was born Abt. 1838 in County Fermanagh in Ireland.  On early church baptism record no. 151/217 they had 1 male living and 2 females deceased, John was a baker and lived at 12 South Head Road, Sydney NSW. Bridget arrived aboard the ship "Hornet" on the 25th January 1865, accompanying her children, John ( 14yrs. ) & Patrick Edward ( 3yrs.). Mary (1 yr. ) died aboard the ship on the voyage to Sydney.

        ii)     Mary Heyland, born abt. 1863 in Ireland and died in 1864 aboard the ship "Hornet" on it's voyage to Australia.
        iii)    Thomas William Heyland, born 23rd November 1865 in Sydney NSW [bdm V1865217 151/1865]
        iv)    Henry C. Heyland, born in Sydney and died in 1876 [BDM 3479 Randwick].

  3. Patrick Edward Heyland, born abt. 1861 in Enniskillen Ireland, son of John Henry and Rose Ann Heyland nee Cox, married Matilda Ellen Agnew, daughter of Edward and Mary Ann Agnew nee Mahoney,  in 1884 in Cooma NSW [bdm 5778  Cooma]. Matilda born 1866 in Cooma.  Patrick Edward died in 1925 [bdm 3998 Manly].

        i)      John Patrick Heyland, born 1885 in Cooma NSW [bdm     25698 Cooma] and died in 1932 [bdm 16653 Redfern] NSW.
        ii)     Mary L. Heyland, died 1887 in Cooma NSW [bdm 10287 Cooma] NSW.
        ii)     Josephine Heyland, born 1888 in Cooma NSW [bdm     27892  Cooma].
        iii)    Clare Heyland, born 1889 in Cooma NSW [bdm     26715 Cooma].
        iv)    Kathleen Heyland, born 1892 in Cooma NSW [bdm     11176 Cooma] and died in 1893 [bdm 5043 Cooma] NSW.
        v)     Robert E. Heyland, born 1893 in Cooma NSW [bdm     11436 Cooma].
     
  4. Thomas William Heyland, born 23rd November 1865 at 12 South Head Road, Sydney, son of John and Bridget Heyland nee Cox. Thomas married Caroline Cahill, daughter of John and Elizabeth Cahill nee Lovelock, on 1st June 1900 at Adaminaby NSW [bdm 5610/1900]. Caroline born Abt. 1881 at Dry Plains NSW and died on 25th January 1915 at the State Hospital and Asylum, Newington, Municipality of Lidcombe NSW [bdm 3846/1915] and was buried, 27th January 1915 in Roman Catholic Cemetery, Rookwood NSW.

  5. Thomas Heyland, (born Thomas Cahill) son of Caroline Cahill, born 1900 in Adaminaby NSW.
     
  6. Eileen Mary Heyland, born 17th May 1901 in Adaminaby NSW. Eileen, daughter of Thomas William and Caroline Heyland nee Cahill, married Reginald Eden Hughes  on the 30th March 1926 at Mosman NSW Australia [bdm 1858 Mosman]. Eileen died 7th October 1987 in the Villiers Nursing Home, Mosman NSW.

    Children of Reginald and Eileen Hughes nee Heyland:
        i)     Patricia Elizabeth Hughes.
        ii)    Yvonne Helen Hughes.
