1. Richard Cahill, born c.1806 in Ireland, was tried and convicted, age 28 years, at Waterford in 1834 and sentenced to 7 years. Richard was transported from Dublin Ireland, arrived in Port Jackson aboard the ship "Hero" on the 31st August 1835. Richard married Mary Corrigan [bdm V18421679 92/1842 LO]

   Certificate of Freedom: Richard Cahill, 43/0140, 25 Jan 1843, "Hero", 1835, 4/4379, 1013, TL 39/1811. Richard Cahill died in 1849 [bdm V1849 373 117] or in 1858 [bdm 4070 Maitland - f: James m: Eliza].

2. John Cahill, son of Richard and Mary Cahill nee Corrigan, born 1845, and married Elizabeth Lovelock, daughter of Robert and Jane Lovelock, on the 3rd February 1868 in the Church of England, Christ Church Cooma NSW [bdm 2056 Cooma]. John was a labourer, residing at Island Lake and Elizabeth was residing at Wambrook. The Minister was Thomas Druitt and the witnesses were Robert Lovelock and John Francis. Elizabeth born 1859 in Cooma NSW.

3. Catherine Cahill, daughter of John and Elizabeth Cahill nee Lovelock, born 1869 at Cooma NSW. [bdm 97709 Cooma] Catherine married Hugh E. Thomas, son of James and Sarah Thomas nee Dawson. Hugh, born in 1866 in Penrith NSW and Catherine died in 1930 at Queanbeyan NSW.

[bdm 8723 Cooma] John married Anne Smart, daughter of Robert and Annie Smart nee McKenna, in 1900 in Adaminaby NSW [bdm 8101]. Anne was born in 1878 in Cooma NSW. John moved to the USA in the early part of his marriage.

Mary married Walter Edward Stores, son of Thomas and Catherine Stores nee Conley, in 1895 (bdm 6566) in Adaminaby NSW. Walter was born in 1870 in Albury NSW [bdm 5555] and died in 1928 in Tumbarumba NSW [bdm 19420]. Mary died in 1934 [bdm19194] in Cooma NSW.

8. Elizabeth Cahill, daughter of John and Elizabeth Cahill nee Lovelock, born 1875 at Cooma NSW [bdm 10014 Cooma]. Elizabeth married Charles Edward Chalker, son of James and Elizabeth Chalker nee Sims, in 1899 [bdm 5287] in Adaminaby NSW. Charles was born in 1875 [bdm 9842] in Adaminaby NSW. Elizabeth died in 1941 [bdm 8586] in Cooma NSW.

Susan died in 1929 [16446] in Queanbeyan NSW.

Catherine was born in 1892 [bdm 3403] and died 2nd October 1969 in Adaminaby NSW. James died 25 March 1970 [bdm18106] in Adaminaby NSW. Both James and Everil are buried in Adaminaby.

11. Caroline Cahill, daughter of John and Elizabeth Cahill nee Lovelock, born Abt.1880 at Cooma NSW. Caroline married Thomas William Heyland, son of John and Bridget Heyland nee Cox, in 1900 at Adaminaby [bdm 5610/1900]. Caroline died in 25th January 1915 at the State Hospital and Asylum, Newington, Municipality of Lidcombe NSW [bdm 3846] and was buried, 27th January 1915, in Roman Catholic Cemetery, Rookwood NSW.
