Byrne Family
 

1. Peter Byrne, born Abt. 1797 in Ireland, married Margaret Brennan at St. Mary's Cathedral, Sydney in 1825. Peter Byrne (or Peter Burns) arrived in Port Jackson, from Waterford in Ireland, aboard the "Almorah (2)" on the 22nd December 1820 and was a overseer on John Thomas Campbell's property at Bringelly in the 1828 census.    Margaret Brennan / Mary, arrived in Port Jackson, from Cork, aboard the convict ship "John Bull" on the 18th December 1821. Margaret was "tried and convicted in Dublin City in 1821 at the age of 29yrs., and was sentenced to 7yrs.  Margaret's occupation was given as a "Ribbon Weaver". 2. Peter Byrne, son of Peter and Margaret Byrne nee Brennan, born 1823 in the Colony. [V1824 460 125]
   Peter married Ann Lecount, daughter of Samuel and Mary Ann Lecount nee Callenan in 1857 in Cooma NSW. [NSW bdm 1656 Cooma]. Peter died 31st July 1884 in Sydney, NSW. [NSW bdm 2002].
