My name's Thomas Russell and I'm from Wellington, the capital of New Zealand. I now live in Sydney, Australia, where I am employed as a solicitor in small city firm specialising in insolvency law and litigation.
My interests include web design and and foreign languages, and I also enjoy console gaming, particularly Nintendo 64 and older consoles like the Sega Megadrive/Genesis.
I am a fan of British television comedy — Fawlty Towers, Yes, Minister, Monty Python, Blackadder, indeed most things featuring (or even peripherally involving) any of the Pythoneers or Rowan Atkinson. I also quite like The Simpsons.
I am an strong advocate of harsher sentences for apostrophe misuse. If I had a dollar for every time I saw signs of the "Mens haircuts" / "All DVD's 15% off" variety, I'd be doing very nicely. Ditto misuse of the words enormity and literally (not to mention bunfight). What is Australia coming to...
