Friends of Boronia Park

The objectives of the Friends of Boronia Park are to:

care for all matters affecting the bushland of Boronia Park
resist any attempts to alienate any portion of the Parklands
preserve and promote regeneration of native bushland
eradicate and prevent the spread of exotic growth
cooperate with other organisations having similar objectives
do all such things as are incidental or conducive to the retention of the bushland environment of the Boronia Park area

Members of the Friends can, if they wish, participate as an active bushcare volunteer in local bush regeneration. Members can do as much or as little as they choose. A small group generally carries out hands-on regeneration under guidance from the Hunters Hill Council Bushland Coordinator for a couple of hours on the first Sunday of each month. Their efforts have produced some good results - for example, an area of endangered turpentine species has been regenerated very successfully and is thriving.

The Friends is managed by a committee elected at the Annual General Meeting each year. Annual membership fees are:

$5.00 for individuals
$2.00 for pensioners and students
$10.00 for families
