Original engine 1255 is now fitted in chassis 2374 early 90s.
Car is fitted with an engine numbered 1854, this was originally in chassis 2161. This car was owned in the 60s by Mick Anderson, during this time the engine broke a crank and a rod destroyed the block. A new short engine was fitted and stamped with a Police issued number, the question is, how did this engine get number 1854? The fitted engine was purchased in Sydney by Abingdon Motors (80s), it had been rebuilt by Waggott but owner defaulted so engine was sold to Abingdon. |
