GARtrip Review

Click here for more eTrex software...

One of the best things about the data connection on the eTrex is the ability to use it with PC software. A good program I have been using with my eTrex is "GARtrip". With GARtrip, I can scan a paper map and then use the image to quickly and accurately plot waypoints. I can easily edit the waypoint details and write in a short description, and then upload it to my eTrex. This means less of the tedious button pressing to program waypoints manually.

You can print out a nice white background map (true to scale) which includes all the waypoint and route details for quick reference while hiking.

When hiking, flying or driving, I leave the eTrex on whilst moving so I can download the track and review it using GARtrip when I get home.

Using GARtip with your eTrex will make your next trip more fun so visit www.gartrip.de and try out the latest fully functioning shareware version.
