COMMUNITY BAND REGISTRATIONS

The yearly registration cycle begins on the 1st of October each year and Registrations are
due by the 1st January. Annual Registration fees for 2012 are $11.00 including GST. This money is used to run the Association office, pay insurance and often subsidise the contests and workshops.

Why Join BANSW?

 

SCHOOL REGISTRATIONS

It is easy to register your students so they can compete in NBC National and BANSW State Title competitions for

          • Under 13 Concert Bands
          • Soloists, duets, quartets and ensembles
          • Junior Brass and Concert Bands,
          • Open Grade Brass and Concert and
          • Jazz Bands and Stage Bands
             
  • Download or request an electronic version of the registration Spreadsheet from bandnsw@tpg.com.au
  • Add names of students and school band conductors and return a soft copy of the spreadsheet by email to BANSW - We import the names into our Database.
  • Print a hard copy, which the school Principal is asked to sign as a declaration - no other signatures (ie players, conductors etc) are required. Post to BANSW with $95.00 registration fee (invoice available on request).
  • Players and conductors must be registered at least six weeks before a contest.
  • Enter soloists, duets, quartets and ensembles in NSW State Solo and Party Event Championships
  • Enter Under 13 Concert Bands and Junior Concert Bands in NSW State Concert Band Championships by completing entry form and a if you have more than one ensemble entering into the same contest, a list of the names of the players and their conductor for each ensemble you enter. No player’s name should appear in more than one ensemble, but the registered player of one ensemble may play in another ensemble under permit rules.
  • Enter Jazz and Stage Bands in the NSW State Jazz and Stage Band Championships by completing entry form (when available) and provide a list of the names of the players and their conductor. A player who is a member of a School’s concert band may also be registered in the School’s Jazz or Stage Band.
