Dave Berman is an Australian bush poet. He loves making audiences laugh and yet there is often a serious side to his verse.
The poems work best when recited or read aloud. Say them to friends or enemies, at home, school, pubs, clubs, theatres or opera houses.
Reciting poetry is a great Australian tradition. When you go out bush (woods, forest, desert) take a poetry book or better still take some paper and pencils and write, then recite your own.
