Some of these units are designed as Stand Alone interfaces where you only need the software and your computer. Icom OPC478 Clone Interface Cable Icom OPC478 Clone Interface Cable This cable works the same as the Icom OPC478 Interface Cable which is used for programming a large number of the Icom products such as:- Icom R2 Scanner, Icom R10 Scanner, Icom IC-40S Transciever and many more Has a DB9 for serial connection to the PC and a 3.5mm Stereo Audio plug for connection to the device to be programmed. Compatible GME 3200/3400/3600/3800 Programmer Compatible GME Electrophone Programming Interface This is a specific interface that ONLY programs the 3200/3400/3600/3800/4400 mobiles. The unit derives power from the DB9 serial connection on your PC and has an RJ11 6 pin plug to plug into the microphone socket of your radio. NO SOFTWARE SUPPLIED - You need to purchase that from your GME Dealer Realistic PRO96 Digital Scanner Compatible Programming Cable Realistic PRO96 Digital Scanner Compatible Bi-Directional Programming Cable This interface is compatible with the Realistic Pro96 Digital Scanner which unfortunately is not available for direct sale by Realistic here in Australia but is available for import or I have heard of one or two importers selling them out of Sydney. This interface works brilliantly well with Don Starr's WIN96 software product allowing you to READ and WRITE to the scanner. There are some cables available that only allow you to WRITE to the scanner. THIS ONE DOES BOTH.
