I am from East Timor and there are lots of immigrants who are refugees who have come here, and because of that they bring their own culture to Australia, things like food, traditional values.

One thing that is important for us to remember too, is that the Australian government supports the multicultural system. For example it funds SBS Radio and SBS TV.

Here in Victoria we don’t need to travel overseas to experience other countries because of all the different foods in restaurants from all over the world. Food from African and Asian countries, and of course European cuisine.

So all of these things are the best of multiculturalism, good food and peace for everyone – I think everyone would agree.
