I feel like I belong to Australia now. I came
from East Timor and it was very hard to leave, harder to stay.
Here in Australia, I belong because my children all now study at
Melbourne University and when they are finished with their studies and get
graduation, they will get a good job.
So I feel happy because Australia it has freedom, is a democratic safe
country, no war, not many problems. We have good conditions in our houses,
hospitals, medicine, schools and public transport with the buses, trains
and trams taking everybody everywhere to work and school. The governments
help poor people who do not have a car.
I dream one day to own my own house and my grandchildren who will be
born in Australia will have a better life for their future.
