On September the 7th a Thursday, we had a big party of food from
different countries day. When I came at 12:30 pm I saw a lot of people in the
class already and plenty of different food put on the big table.
The foods represented the people and their culture and the country they came
from. On that day I tasted so many foods, I felt very fantastic. I think I liked
it very much because there was Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean, Italian, Argentinian,
Somali, Indian, Timorese and Australian food.
Our class teachers Jan, Kay and Robbie, a councillor and a man from the local
newspaper they joined us and had a good time I think.
I remembered my Korean mate and his family, they wore their beautiful
traditional costumes from their countries. He brought his grand-daughter who was
only young, probably five years old and she looked very cute.
I enjoyed this day very much because it was so friendly like Australia. I
came from Vietnam a long time ago, in the 70’s and I like this country very
much, it’s a good place for family life.
