The team comprises eleven Junior Athletes from across Australia, two coaches and two managers; the athlete’s selection was based on their performance in the Australian National Schools Championship and Australian National Championships held in January 2004 at Eildon Victoria. The team will be traveling to the South Island of New Zealand for the period of 4^th of April to the 21^st April 2004. The team will be competing in two major competitions whilst away; the New Zealand National Canoe/Slalom Championships at Lake Tekapo on the 9-12 April and the New Zealand National Schools Canoe/Slalom Championships at Wanaka on the 17-18 April 2004.
