Sydney Thistle Highland Pipe Band is a volunteer civilian pipe band, dedicated to providing the highest quality music and performances each and every time it appears in public


There has been many top class Pipe Bands in Australia, but few have stood the test of time better than Sydney Thistle.


Thistle was formed in 1918 by a group of returned servicemen. The band has continued without break since that time providing extensive service to the community and achieving unsurpassed success on the competition field.
