Déjà Vu

Been there, done that!

Have you ever had a sense of déjà vu – that haunting feeling that it's all happened before? Then spare a little sympathy for Penrith resident Ocker Dinocca who has had a really bad weekend.

He set off for Mudgee on Saturday to soft-soap his ex (that's a déjà woo) who was threatening to take him to court again (déjà sue) for failing to pay maintenance.

By the time he arrived she and the kids had already left. They had gone west, to Dubbo, for another look at the animals at the Western Plains Zoo (déjà zoo).

So Ocker set off in hot pursuit.

When he caught up with her she was somewhat unsympathetic.

Déjà you!" she snapped; meaning, "Not you again, Buster!"

That was the start of a déjà blue, so Ocker decided to cut his losses and go home.

Just beyond Goolma he hit a kangaroo (déjà roo) and since his car was uninsured the accident has left him in the same old mess (déjà goo) that has become such a part of his sordid life.

On Monday, Ocker was sighted at the local Centrelink office, trying to get an advance on his social security payment. He was, of course, standing on a déjà queue.
