A report to be tabled in Parliament this week is expected to reveal that plans to construct Sydney's new international airport at Badgerys Creek are so flawed that only a gigantic cover-up has kept the site as first choice.

It will be revealed that Underwood Engineering, Waterford Construction and Eastern Aircraft will publicly admit their joint venture company, Under-Water-Aircraft, has discovered that because of the continuous vibrations caused by jet engines, the concrete wall of Warragamba Dam may be subjected to insurmountable stress.

The company has pointed out that since the dam is already in a keep-your-fingers-crossed situation the extra stress could cause it to burst, flooding much of Western Sydney, including Badgerys Creek.

As a result, unless amphibious passenger jets are to be introduced on the Sydney run, the Badgerys Creek Airport would be unusable.

Under-Water-Aircraft have therefore recommended that the new airport be built on pylons to minimise water damage.

There will also be a feasibility study into a hydrofoil service to transport passengers across the resulting Lake John Howard.
