Pancake Ride to the Dam

Our regular Town Ride on the Easter weekend became a gourmet delight ....well almost. Really just a quick cook up on the shores of Dumaresq Dam. The menu consisted of pancakes a la natural, cooked on the camp stove, with all ingredients and equipment carried in a trusty backpack. The pancakes were a bit flat... Chef blamed the equipment, but when the nearest Maccas is 15 kilometres back down the road, it's amazing how good they tasted. John brought along a rather tasty white to wash it down, which made the pancakes even more tolerable. Second Chef appeared to do a much better pancake than Head Chef, and it was Chef's stove too. So much for experience.

The day was a success in spite of the grub, and all agreed to "do it again some time".
