Welcome to Kannada Sangha Queensland Inc.

'Kannada Sangha', a not-for-profit informal community group, consisting of several individual families, most of us originally from Karnataka state in India.

Our main objective is to share our common Indian and Karnataka heritage for the benefit of our families and the wider community. Also to have a representation among other community groups in Queensland.

We thank our senior member & long-standing resident of Brisbane, who established this community group a few years ago.

The group is still at a nascent stage with about 60 families currently enrolled as members. Currently, the Sangha celebrates Indian festivities and hosts several picnics and outings throughout the year. Our signature event is the Rajyotstava Day when all families come together to present a wholesome entertain programme.

Currently, the Sangha has an elected body of office bearers to oversee the activities but in reality every member is encouraged to take the initiative to host or organise a programme of common interest
