Her studio has enjoyed a high success rate amongst examination and eisteddfod candidates, with high distinctions awarded in Theory/Musicianship, and honours awarded in practical examinations, including successful upper grade and diploma candidates.
The studio offers comprehensive tuition in practical, theoretical and aural aspects, with an emphasis on positive learning and developing the individual student’s potential within a musically active performance environment. Laurel encourages her students to perform in association with other musicians to give them additional musical experiences in accompaniment and duet work.
Tuition fees are set according to the standard recommended by the Music Teacher’s Association of Queensland.
Lessons are taught on a professional standard grand piano in a purpose-designed studio, with a comfortable and well lit waiting area that is separate from the house.
