Grey Nurse Shark @ The Apartments
After two weeks off because of rotton weather, I got back in the water with Dave (his comeback dive). When we reached the site, we could see the bottom through the deep blue water. We descended the anchor line to 25m and headed off toward shallower water. About 50m before we reached the cathedral we saw something big heading our way. A Grey Nurse Shark...
It would have been about 1.6 - 1.8m long and happily swam by. We did not follow it although it did get close enough that we could clearly see a hook in its mouth.
We continued the dive in the crystal clear water, swimming through the cathedral and a couple of smaller caves before returning to the boat.
