Aug 2009 - Preparation & filming continues for the latest Narnia
film, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader,
directed by Michael Apted. Flying back and forth between Sydney
and Warners on the Gold Coast. This third film in the Chronicles
of Narnia series is set for Hollywood release, 10 Dec 2010 and Australian
release on 26 Dec 2010
- Greg has been cast by invitation to a feature film teaser
to be pitched at US producers. The director is well-known & respected
for their work in film, TV and TVCs
Jul 2009 - Greg is flying to the Gold Coast for screen tests and cast
readings in the latest Narnia film, The Chronicles of Narnia: The
Voyage of the Dawn Treader, directed by Michael Apted. It's

new Narnia film, third in the series, directed by Michael

- The first and sceond lot of ads for YOUI Insurance were so
successful, Greg was called back to film a third. It was released to
TV on 24 June
- Invited to guest DJ my 2SER Phantom Dancer radio show (swing,
jazz & dance from live 1920s-60s radio & TV) at La Campagna,
53-55 Liverpool St, Sydney from 10:30pm, Friday 26 June
- 9 June marks my 25th year of continuous radio broadcasting. I
began at 2RPH in its pioneering days, moved to 2SER where
I hosted talks and music shows, including the award-winning Phantom
Dancer show, produced documentaries for ABC Radio National, performed
voicework for ABC Radio National, was an audio operator at SBS Radio
and their first English language broadcaster and most recently
was the lead in the radio play Eyewitness Blues for BBC Radio
in London
May 2009 - Greg has been cast in the latest Narnia film, The Chronicles
of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, directed by Michael
Apted and set for Hollywood release in 2010
- Greg returned to All Saints for ADR. In a letter to
Greg, Bill Hughes, All Saints Producer wrote: "I have just
come from the Director's cut of the show Greg and I am delighted with
the finished episode. Your performance is terrific and adds great colour
to the show...Thank you for your contribution to the show"
- Greg Poppleton's Big 7, a jazz/swing band with a Pete Kelly's
Blues vibe play their debut show at Penrith RSL, Saturday 30
May at 2pm
Apr 2009 - Greg filmed a guest role in All Saints, to be aired on

- Two films with Greg Poppleton were on TV during the festive
season. The first was Footy Legends, which was a Saturday

musician Jac Rainer in the BBC World Service radio play Eyewitness
Blues, directed by the Executive Producer of BBC World Service Drama,
Marion Nancarrow. The play airs as part of an international multimedia
show over the BBC World Service, 28 Feb 2009 at 2001GMT
- The popular Aeroguard ad from last summer with Greg Poppleton

Spot, Sydney filmmakersAshley Fairfield&
Annmaree Bell are director and producer for the AFC
funded short film. Vinyl explores the difficulty of assimilation
for a young Sudanese refugee and the role his affinity to music plays
in his life. Vinyl is due for release mid-2009
