Hi! My name is Warren Leadbeatter.
(pronounced LED-BEAT-TER)
also known as Waz  or Wazzaaaaa!!!

Who am I?

I was born in 1963 and like to think I am a pretty cool, easy going guy. I am married (16 yrs) with two daughters. (and a dog) You might be interested in seeing my family tree.

In my spare time one of the things I do is race Postie bikes with my mates. We race Postie bikes because they only go 70km/h so you don't get hurt too much when you fall off! I also ride a GSXR1000 when I feel like getting a little more dangerous. My other interests are Control Line Model Aeroplanes, surfing (9'8" mal), boogie boarding, swimming, partying, music/bands, snow skiing and star gazing.

I have vast experience with many types of electronic systems, equipment and computer software, including: industrial microprocessors, personal computers, MPT / two-way radio data systems, SCADA & telemetry, fuel monitoring, security, GPS tracking systems, mobile data systems, GSM/GPRS/CP3,  broadband telecommunications, fibre optics, modems and the internet. I am also proficient in component level repair of electronic equipment. I have worked in many roles ranging from installation, engineering, customer service, support and senior management.

As a hobby I operated a BBS (Bulletin Board System) named Koala Country (Oct 1989 to Feb 1995) during which time I gained thousands of hours experience in PC operating systems, computer programming, data communications and networking. This system utilised several personal computers and servers on a network and was permanently connected to the telephone network to allow dial in access for the public and the transfer of electronic mail (e-mail) worldwide. My bulletin board was a really big thing in it's time but became redundant when the internet came along so these days I play around with my internet web sites instead.
