DIALLING METHOD

Select either DEC or TONE with the slide switch, to select the method the telephone uses to signal dialled digits. While either DEC (pulse) dialling or TONE dialling will work ok, tone is preferred as it allows quicker transfer of dialled digits, and includes the transfer of special characters ( * and  # )

If the Touchfone Executive is selected for DEC or pulse dialling, a front panel button (TONE) allows immediate changeover to tone dialling, enabling special characters to be sent.
