How to Find Beaumes de Venise

 

Beaumes de Venise is best reached by car, and having a car during your stay is recommended. There is a bus service to Carpentras and Avignon however departures are not frequent.

 


If approaching from the north on the autoroute A7, take exit number 22 just past Orange and follow signs for Carpentras and Sarrians. At Sarrians turn left and the route is clearly marked to Beaumes de Venise. Coming from the south on the A7, take exit number 23, Avignon Nord, and turn right at a large roundabout after leaving the toll booths. Then follow directions to Carpentras, but take the Sarrians exit, while bypassing Monteux. Follow this road through Sarrians, then follow signs to Beaumes de Venise.

The best approach for the house is to skirt the old village, via avenue Gambetta, and then turn left onto rue du Chateau. It is possible to drive through the heart of the old village but the streets are narrow and it is not recommended.

If coming from Paris, or Charles de Gaulle airport, the TGV fast train is a good option. It can be taken from the airport, or from the Gare de Lyon in Paris and it will take you to Avignon in around three hours. Hire cars can be picked up & dropped off from the Avignon TGV station.
 

If flying into the region, Marseille, Montpellier, and Lyon are all good arrival points. All are easily navigated and each is within two hours drive from Beaumes de Venise if using the autoroute.
