The orange lines represent the plumbing route.
The circles with 'S' inside represent solenoids that operate to allow hot liquor into the machine at the left, and cold liquor to run through the Counterflow Chiller (CFC) at the right.
Not shown diagrammatically, but inside the Heat Exchanger is a tight coil of copper pipe that provides the surface area for the heat exchanger to operate.
