1960s

• ABC article written in 2004 covering the history of Australian jazz, mentions Jeannie in the 60's being part of the York Gospel Singers.
• In amongst the papers of Warren Fahey there are "Two extremely rare custom 33.3 rpm (1960s) recordings on Mutual Records ... featuring the music of Mike Leydon ... Songs on discs: Time to be Singing (Jeannie Lewis) and Shadows on the wall (Jeannie Lewis)".
• In a tribute page to Chris Kempster 1933 to 2004, by Mark Gregory, Mark mentions that in the 60's Chris and he were members of the Radiation Quartet along with fellow students Jeannie Lewis and Mike Leyden. "We sang at protests and demonstrations against nuclear weapons proliferation and testing, and of course protests against conscription and the war in Vietnam."
• Gulliver from Company Caine moved to Sydney and formed Dr Kandy's Third Eye (1967-8), and performed with Jeannie Lewis Band. Jeannie also covered one of Company Caines songs It's Up To You on her LP Free Fall Through Featherless Flight

• In a review by Barry Healy of What's That I Hear?: The Songs of Phil Ochs, "the best performance of “Crucifixion” was recorded by Australia's Jeannie Lewis in the 1970s, again as a tribute to Ochs. Her near hysterical singing captured the fear and supernatural beauty of the song and dramatised its theological depths."
• Feb 14, 1970, "Peter Sculthorpe's new work Love 200, for orchestra and rock band, with words by Tony Morphett. • Somewhere during the 1980s the talented David De Most sang with Jeannie.
• Jeanie is on this page because she covered a David Bowie song, All the Madmen, on her album Till Time Brings Change in 1980.
• Jan Cornall toured a cabaret version of Failing In Love Again to Adelaide, with Jeannie amongst others.(1980)
• Image held at the University of Melbourne of Jeannie by John Brant Ellis at the Honeymoon uranium mine rally in May 1982.
• The Necks toured with Jeannie to Mexico for the SBS-TV documentary "Maroubra to Mexico".(1987)
• Peter Hosking sang with Jeannie as the narrator in Piaf, 1988.

• In 1990 Llew Kiek was musical director for Jeannie in Voxy Lady at the Adelaide Festival. Jean has recorded "Yesterday Today and Tomorrow" (from the show) on her 2003 CD "Southheart".
• Review by Angela Matheson of 'People Like us' at Everest Theatre, Seymour Centre. March 4-16 1991, "A female quintet which includes Margaret RoadKnight and Jeannie Lewis provides an aural chorus drawing upon a history of music ranging from Hildegard Von Bingen to Cambodian folk songs."
• Jeannie performed at the 1991 Women and Arts Festival, doing the same show she put on for the Adelaide Festival, mentioned in an interview with Kerith Power in Women's Voice for March 1998.
• Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts lists Jeannie as performing Voxy Lady, November 6 to 28, 1992, group: Women Up Front, medium: musical theatre, summary: part of feminisms exhibition forum.
• Jeannie sang 'The Plains Of Emu' on the album Going Home - Australian Artists, Australian Songs, 1993. Something else for me to look for!
• The wonderful Fifi L'Amour spent some time in Australia in 1994 and did some shows with Jeannie.

• One Word ... We, performed in 2000, Jeannie was one of seven singers.
• Mr Fogg has art projects, and mentions Jeannie several times on this page as performing in his light shows and also that Rowan McCombe introduced him to her music, and that he has a bootleg of Peter Sculthorpe’s "Love 200" from 1970? which featured Jeannie and 3 others. (2000?)
• Megan Elliott, in Workers Online, reports on 7th July 2000, about the project by Urban Theatre Project, The Palais at Parramatta Town Hall. This includes more than 50 performers in 20 acts and Jeannie is one of them. Show was performed 27th - 30th July 2000.

• The East Timor's Year One Celebration included a Benefit Night of Verse, Humour, Song and Music, Jeannie performed with lots of others. reported in Workers online for 18th August 2000
• Sueno De Barrilete from Tango Australis on the playlist for Radio National, The Planet, 22 September 2000.
• Nikki Madden mentions that one of her songs was included on 'Green Songs' and listed the other artists including Jeannie. Green Songs was released in 2001.
• Apr 2002 edition of Crikey, "Famous alumni on Latham's hit list", "Mark Latham has identified 67 high-fee schools for his funding hit list ...   Cross Collections presents a variety of performances for one night only in the beautiful St Johns Anglican Church, Darlinghurst.

  David Davies performing 'FINCHIE' is a tribute to the legendary actor Peter Finch in his Sydney years, and his dreams of turning the Mercury Theatre into the National Theatre Company of Australia. We follow him on his journey from overseas to Kings Cross to the formation of the Mercury Theatre Company. David Davies is a NIDA graduate who has been a member of the Bell Shakespeare Company for the last 5 years. He was last seen as King Edward the 4th in Bells The War of the Roses and in his one man show HYDE/FINCHIE at the TAP gallery.

  'FLOTSAM' -- Ken Foux, Gary Ross and Peter Urquhart play a series of folk and acoustic song arrangements and improvisations. The vibrant sounds of 6 string and 12 string guitar, violin and voices complement arrangements of 'Under the Milky way', 'Khe Sanh', 'Caroline', and 'Angie'.

  'The Canyon of the hidden jewels', composed by Peter Urquhart, is a trio for alto voice (performed by the amazing Jeannie Lewis), baritone and piano and contains movements of the latin Mass -- 'Sanctus', 'Benedictus', 'Agnus Dei' and 'Pie Jesu'. The piece fuses tones and modes of of different musical periods to create an inspiring and timeless experience.
